Compliments can be hard to accept.

I've gotten positive responses from people simply because I'm wearing a RCRG t-shirt and I'm not a mascot, or announcer and very clearly I'm not a rollergirl. Last Friday while walking to work, a woman noticed me and said, "Nice shirt." I had to look because I often forget what I'm wearing. I said thanks. She then pointed out her license plate frame, "RCRG". So I asked if she was coming to the bout on Saturday. No, but she is singing the national anthem at your September 23rd bout. I'm not sure what my point was with that.

Anyway, before this turns into a post hijacking. I can understand your discomfort at compliments. I get called handsome on rare occasions and I get all weirded out. As though being called a hideous freak would somehow be more comforting.

And for the record, I think that you're only partially neurotic.

Sad but true. I also agree with her that you rock. Cheers.
