I'm originally from Hawaii, but I moved to Seattle in 1995 for grad school and built a life here. I miss home all the time, but my Seattle life is pretty great. I used to play roller derby, then I got into cycling, and then I was diagnosed with a nerve sheath tumor condition that has started to affect my mobility. I'm a dilettante geek, I like comic books, sci-fi and fantasy books and movies, and while I've seen every film thus far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I'm not hardcore enough to argue the backstories of tertiary characters. My music taste confuses the hell out of Spotify, but my favorite genre of music can broadly be defined as "Eighties." Yes, even the bad stuff. In some cases, ESPECIALLY the bad stuff.
