Buying pants when you are short and fat is almost impossible unless you want to either 1) spend a ton of money or 2) look like a matron.

Also, I desperately need a pair of brown knee high boots.

Please be kind to yourself and blame the stupid clothing designers who declare lanky and undernourished to be the ideal and ignore the regular bodies of regular people.

In contrast, judging from the sizes I find commonly available, the men's fashion world is increasingly catering to the short and fat. The waist measurement is not supposed to be bigger than the leg length, in my universe, but this seems difficult for the public to understand.

Regardless, you seem to have been given carte blanche by the universe to spend a bunch of money on nice clothes. Enjoy it!

BTW, I trust you implicitly to desire brown knee high boots that do not make you look like an elf (http://www.goldmountainmining.com/knee-high-boot.html).

Well, I didn't want those boots until you pointed them out . . .

Actually, I'd love a pair of these (http://www.fluevog.com/code/?w%5B0%5D=search%3Arosabelle&pp=1&view=detail&p=1&colourID=1567).

oh yes. The 'rarr' level of those is high, and I completely approve.

I approve too. I think I heard that Fluevog will stretch out the calf. Is that correct? I'd probably need that. Yes, we will all three buy these and they will call us the triplets when we come walking in...

Fluevog WILL stretch out the calves of boots for you. I had them do it for my bondgirl boots a few months ago. Although with the zip and lace up action on this one, I'll bet it'll fit better than a straight zip boot.
