motomotoyama: (Roller Derby)
Every Rat City Rollergirl on your friendslist will be posting this, but I'm going to anyway. Rat City is in the paper again, but this time we made the Sports Section where we belong. No more Lifestyle Section for us!

[livejournal.com profile] yruugrrl was interviewed for the article, and she mentions that after seeing an article in the Stranger, she and "a friend" went to tryouts. What she didn't mention is that it was a livejournal friend that went with her. I even dug up the entry in which we decide to go together for moral support. See? LJ is for more than just whining. It brings rollergirls together!

So various financial obligations kept coming up which made me put off buying a Wii. Right now, I'm sort of at the point where I could justify the expense, but it'd be better to put some money away, and I know I've got a shopping trip coming up, so throwing down a bunch of cash on video games doesn't seem like the best decision. But then, I thought that perhaps I should pick up Guitar Hero. I've wanted to for a while, and it's much less than buying an entirely new game system, so it makes fiscal sense. However, I have a PS2, and I'm guessing they're going to release any new versions of Guitar Hero for next-gen consoles. So I'm trying to decide, and then I discover that Guitar Hero III is coming out for the Wii this October. I'm not sure that I want to wait that long, now that I've got the urge to pretend like I'm a rock star. I don't really want to buy the controller for my current setup, only to have to buy it again for the Wii later but I can get Guitar Hero Rocks the 80s for the PS2 right now, and you know I need that version.

Sometimes, I think that I shouldn't be let out in public.
