Sep. 25th, 2007 03:43 pmThere is not enough time for me to do all of the things that I need to do before I leave for Austin on Thursday. (I'm going for the National Roller Derby Championships, and a few extra days to play tourist.) I may have to take dirty clothes with me and launder them there. I'm not exactly complaining, because I'm busy with fun, exciting things, but man, I wish I had time to pack before the day I actually leave.
Remember back when I said that I had time to clean my home, and would almost feel comfortable having people over? Yeah, I take that back. I have once again turned the place into a disaster area by never being home and throwing things around willy-nilly when I am. Things are not looking very good for the next several weeks, either. At least I got the boxes out of the living and dining rooms before the one year anniversary of buying the place. (Condo Day is on September 29th. Happy early Condo Day to me.) My goal is to get the place back to presentable before Thanksgiving, so I can have people over for food and games. Wish me luck.
Also, I've been listening to The Beatles today, and I have to say that these are some of the best lyrics of all time: I look at the floor/And see it needs sweeping/Still my guitar/Gently weeps.
