This is why I will never lose weight. I just did an awesome workout with my personal trainer, so now I am going to reward myself with some yummy yummycake flavored ice cream that I tasted at the Northwest Women's Show. It was kinda funny seeing all the ice cream and candy booths next to all the diet and exercise booths. I was suckered in twice over, because I bought caramel corn and some exercise gear, because you can't have one without the other.

I love and hate my personal trainer. She makes me hurt, not only during the workout, although I've noticed that my aches and pains don't last nearly as long now that I'm actually using those muscles she's asking me to on a regular basis. It helps that there are other rollergirls in the group, which helps keep the cost down so I can afford it, and keeps the peer pressure high, so I can't flake out. Now if only she could find a way to put more hours in the day, she would be perfect.

i ate the ice cream then used the glidey things for a good, long while. i'm also looking into a chin-up bar. one that'll maybe double as a curtain rod...

I found mine at Fred Meyer in Bellevue after practice on Wednesday. The amazing thing is that I didn't even eat any that night, and waited until last night to indulge.

Also, your message about where to get said ice cream came in while I was on my way to the workout, which I find very amusing.

I don't know, but you should definitely buy the ice cream. But beware, you'll be tempted to eat way more than you should.

the personal trainer is worth it?

working out allows you to eat anything you want. it's excess that causes the problem.

I think the personal trainer is worth it, but then I'm not paying her regular hourly rate of $60+ per hour. Since a bunch of us share the cost, it ends up about the same as a yoga class, and cheaper than going to Cappy's, which is the other option I was going to try.
