Someone took my mug; the one that I use for my hot cereal or tea. I brought it in to work myself, which is why I'm irritated about it. I know it's not a big deal, but it was annoying to have nothing to make my Cream of Wheat in this morning. I hope someone returns it to the kitchen area.

Last night while making lunch for today and a snack before practice, I sliced through my pointer finger with the serrated bread knife. It wasn't deep or big enough to need stitches, but I did bleed all over the place, and it made finishing making my lunch difficult. I dripped blood on the piece of garlic bread I was going to eat, but I just cut off the affected bit, toasted it and ate it anyway. I was hungry, and headed out to practice so I needed to eat something. The only bandages I have are from Archie McPhee, so I've covered up my wound with tikis. I think it makes it more interesting.

[livejournal.com profile] mommacherry lent me her copy of The Dirt, the Motley Crue memoir. I couldn't get to sleep after skating, so I read the first few chapters and didn't want to stop. I knew that I'd be miserable this morning if I didn't though, so I dutifully but the book down and went to sleep. It's a fun book, and I'm looking forward to reading it more.

I can't believe that it's only Thursday. This week seems interminable.

I'm looking forward to reading Slash's autobiography.

have you ever heard my recipe for disaster burritos? it involves cutting one's finger on a renegade cuisinart blade, bleeding in and on the cheese, and making someone else go on a taco bell run. it's a great recipe. i make it a lot, actually.

I *loved* The Dirt. I borrowed someone's copy in July and am having a hard time bringing myself to return it. Though by the end, all I wanted to do was give Nikki and Mick big hugs and tell them everything was going to be all right.

I think you should hang up flyers, "Have you seen this mug?"

Maybe with an age progression, too.

The Dirt is awesome. It turns out that Motley Crue is made up of horrible people who do horrible things and you can't look away! One of them accidentally kills someone and another dies and comes back to life during the book. It's everything anyone could want out of a rock memoir.
